Jacob Stinson

  • I’m an architect who enjoys solving problems through thoughtful, well-crafted design. I’ve always been drawn to both creative making and technical thinking, from art and crafting to understanding systems, structure, and how things come together. Architecture became a natural way for me to bring those interests into a single practice.

Originally from Oklahoma, I earned my Master of Architecture from Harvard, lived and worked in Mexico City, and later returned Oklahoma to teach architecture at my alma mater. Those experiences continue to shape how I approach design as curious, collaborative, and grounded in context. I enjoy working across all phases of a project and enjoy contributing wherever careful thinking and clear execution are needed.

Now settling into Seattle, I’m excited to build roots in the Pacific Northwest. Outside of work, I enjoy making things by hand and spending time with my husband, playing board games, which feeds my love of strategy, systems, and problem-solving.

  • Licensed Architect in the state of Oklahoma

With six years of professional experience, my work has spanned multiple sectors and scales, from large, ground-up mixed-use towers in New York City to small community hospital renovations and interior remodels, shaping how I approach both highly coordinated efforts and more intimate, detail-driven scopes.

I’ve been involved in all phases of design, collaborating closely with consultants, user groups, and project teams to carry design intent through to execution. This hands-on experience has shaped my ability to adapt quickly and contribute wherever needed, helping deliver thoughtful, buildable solutions that respond to both technical and human needs.
